First Presbyterian Presents The Last Supper
The Daily Independent has described First Presbyterian Church’s production of The Last Supper as “the highlight of the holy season.” The drama, based on Leonardo Da Vinci’s most famous painting of the same name, assigns dialogue to each disciple concerning the betrayal of Jesus, ending in the question, “Is it I, Lord? Is it I?”
This year at 8pm on Palm Sunday, First Presbyterian will present the living tableau again for the 18th time spanning 54 years. The first production of The Last Supper was in 1961 and was produced by the Women of the Church. In recent history the tableau has been produced every three years. The last production took place in 2012.
The special service is free and will last about an hour beginning with special music. A nursery will be provided.
If you plan to attend the March 29 production, the sanctuary is usually full so arrive early for the best seat!
